This script allows you to test and edit your project at the same time. You can also reload changes made in the editor without having to close and restart the testplay. This should make debugging faster and easier.

    that helped me. Thanks! http://www.forgotten.pl/user.php?uid=Wincia53

    Good, Mr. Hime.
I’ve been using your script for my project. I must say that in these two years I have been very useful and exploited working hours. Now my project I added a script Yanfly and by using commands your script (F7 or F8) displays a error window. Both scripts match the code?
Not a big deal, but would add more working time.
I appreciate your patience and, again, congratulations on your script magnificent.
    Regards!
    Psdt: Sorry my bad English

This particular script works great, though there are times when it won’t always start up test play (sometimes the window will pop up then disappear or will do nothing), but that does not happen too often to be much more than a very minor annoyance. Way super, milady.

    • Hime says:

I set the script to give a 10 millisecond delay before launching the new process, but I guess there might be some other things involved.
At the bottom of the script there’s a sleep(0.01). You could increase that value to something like sleep(1) and see if that helps.

Hello. This script isn’t working for me, nothing happens when I press F7 or F8. I even tried in a new project where I didn’t have any other scripts that might conflict. Also how do I change the F7 to another button? I see “Reload Map/All Button :L/:R” but don’t :L and :R correspond to Q and W?

    • Hime says:

Oh, that was the issue. I noticed that the default buttons in the script were Q and W instead of F7 and F8. They may have been changed at some point for some reason.

I’ve updated the script to use F7 and F8 appropriately.

      • Fireheart says:

Yes, it works fine now. Thank you very much!

Is there any way to stop the game screen from being set to the foreground when you playtest? I tried commenting out the part that says “Set game window to be foreground” but it doesn’t work. Really great script, btw.

          • Hime says:

The game spawns another instance of itself so that you have access to the editor (if you used “playtest”). If it doesn’t do that, you won’t be able to use the editor. However if you opened the game using the exe it might work.

    Doesn’t work for me :/
Pressing F7 after saving doesn’t do anything :/

Hey Hime, your scripts are cool but I'm wondering a few things.
    1. I know it says "Place above main", but I'm not exactly sure where above main you
put it. A screenshot would be helpful.
    2. When I was complaining about the keyboard controls, I found your script "Full Input Keyboard". At that time, I was new to scripts, and RM as a whole. My brother figured it out, but here's the thing. It says, "Place this script below Materials and above Main", but my brother put it above all the scripts. (AKA right above ▼ Modules) and it still worked.
    3. I was trying to figure out how and where to place some scripts, and also found your script disabler script, and everything I tried didn't work. Finally, I just decided to not use scripts on my game. But when I went and deleted the scripts, my game would NOT run. It would be just a black screen and then it would kick me back to the editor.
    I would appreciate any help.

Hi, the link for the script isn't working for me. Could you please update it? I really would like to use this amazing tool. Thank you in advance.

This is a really useful script! =)
However, I can’t seem to make it run in debug mode… the CTRL + walk to walk through events and walls doesn’t work. =/

You always make the most useful scripts! Thanks. ☺

  11. For those who can’t get it to work, remember you have to minimize the game, make edits on the editor, SAVE, and then go back to the game and press the map reload button. (Default :F7)

  12. Johnny says:

Nvm. Got it to work. Thanks!

  13. Johnny says:

Could you make one for Ace?
